My sewing book

We have somthing called happy sticks and they are sticks that if I finish school (or city) then I get 1 happy stick. Then I can buy somthing with my happy sticks. One time I bought a sewing book, and my sewing book has REALLY cute idea's. One of the ideas is fabric-flower necklaces and I'm making one now. I've only got two petals for one of the flowers, though. I hope it will end up as cute as it looked in the picture!

When mom & dad were away

When mom & dad were away I felt like City was watching TV or playing on the computer all the time and it was really distracting and she had a little less school than me. But somthing really cool was that we had a LOT less school than usual, all I had for school was Math, Writing, & Reading. City only had Math, & Reading. But since we did'nt have much school we finished school before kids were out to play. So mom had these bags with diferent activitys to do each day and we opened one bag each day.

Our School life

When we first came here to our villa/house we werent going to public school anymore, instead my mom started homeschooling us. But our our air shitmint wasnt here yet so we just made up whatever we could with what we had. We made a reading corner on the bed in our school room (which is really a bedroom). Basicly what our school assignment was for our mom to teach us history and we'd read a few books. dad also tought us stuff like roman numerals, the metric system and other math stuff. I felt like my schooling was ten times more educational than when I was in public school. Today we have developed a routine with a schedule that we manage ourselves, but its mostly paper worksheets and only one lesson from my mom. I miss my mom and dad teaching us all of our lessons everyday because I think it was more educational. (we got a nanny so I think that is helping.) I remember back when we were in chesterland being jelous about the Gosslins having homeschool, now my friend Maia thinks the same thing about me.
However I have made great progress on my multiplication and division. I think my mom is going to homeschool us next year and I hope she will find a better system. I'm glad this school year is almost over.

Mom got called to be the primary President so she is going to be in charge of who is teaching and what the lesson is on. She said she will call me to be the Prelude pianist. My friend Maya has been filling in for music time too, she does a great job.

The Janadrya Festival

Last week we went to the Janadrya Festival as a family but when we got there, they would'nt let us in as a family. Even though we herd mom could go in that day she was'nt aloud in with us so mom decided to let me, City, & dad go with out her. So mom went shopping while we went to the Festival. When we were there EVERYBODY wanted pictures of City & I. We took a ride on the camel and were surrounded by Saudi men who were shooting pictures, the man leading us had to stop and push everyone away. Later we sat down on a bench for dad to load his backpack and we got surrounded again, after a while this got annoying so dad said to try and avoid having our pictures taken at all. Later we got to see a horse pushing a mill stone and then we got some corn on the cob. Then we found a rug to sit on and eat, but just soon after that we realized it was the prayer rug so we had to hurry and move. Toward the end we found the Lockyers and continued to wander around with them. It was really fun to have a daddy daughter night out.

When Pyper was born

When my mom was far into being pregnent my grandma Lee (my moms mom) came to help. grandma Lee ended up staying longer than she ment & dad ended up staying home from work for a while because the baby was two weeks past due. When mom thought the baby might come soon it was sunday so mom & dad stayed home from church. When we were at church mom & dad went to the hospital (the same hospital I was born in). We stayed after church with Melius family to have lunch together, it was fun. Then we all came back to our house for a while. We were outside jumping on the trampoline when grandma called us in to tell us we have a new baby sister, felicity and I SCREAMED with joy, our new baby sister was finally here! We went to see her at the hospital. I remember her cute little nose and red/brown hair (my mom said she had more hair than we did). I noticed her cute little flat ears, but then later they finally curled like the rest of ours. Me and dad made up "Pyper's Diaper." And that is what I remember about when Pyper was born.

My trip to Al Khobar

Last week we decided to go to Al Khobar. In case you don't know where it is, it is in eastern Suadi Arabia. We went there for the weekend and we had a very special weekend. We went swiming in the Ocean and played on the sandy beach it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun. The thing that was so specal was that I got to spend a specal weekend with my family. We were even able to try a new resterant that I don't remember the name of, but the resterant was really good. We took food from the resterant to the beach and ate there (well in our car). When we got out we went swiming, flew our kites, and threw balls to each other with base ball mits. Because of the kind of country we're in well mom wanted to swim so she bought this weird swim suit. She bought one for herself, Pyper, Felicity, and me they were like a shirt, skirt, and legings all atatched together. Then mom put her Abaya over her new swim suit she was surprised at how fast it dried.

My Bisness

I have been making my bookworms again, to sell at our Compound's Bazaar. I am not only doing bookworms this time, I am making good quality Cat's Cradle strings to sell too. I have been really into it because I get to keep the money that I earn, and I am saving my money for an Ipad. (I think I have about $120 in my savings so far). Felicity is helping me make the strings and I'll give her $1 for her labor. My mom is also making items to sell, she is making easter baskets in the shape of a large hollow egg and also sock dolls. Me and City are also helping her too. Felicity is going to sell her Lemonaid cocktails. I can't wait until the Bazaar!!!!!!

If I opened my own restaurant

If I could open my own restaurant I would invite the Lockyear kids, Talia, Trever, and my sisters to come and work with me. We would serve mostly any meats, saleds, potatos, mashed potatos, rise, chicken moknee, and ice creams. The outside at night would be lit with magnificent lights and fire works and be called The Glorious Dragon.

My fiction story

My Trip To Egypt Hi I'm a young Egyptologest and have a terrific story to tell you. It all started out one day when I was in the biggest pyramid in modern day Egypt. When I came out I was in ancient Egypt!? Then I noticed I was wearing a long white dress like the one the lady on the coffon was wearing. And so then I decided I wanted to write a story of how I got here. So I looked around for some paper, after I looked around for a while, I noticed paper was NOT invented. There was a piece of dry grass in my pocket, wich gave me an idea. I weaved a bunch of long leaves together then left it to dry. More people joined me they made 2 peices and I did 4 peices. they asked me for my cartouche and i told them i was new and did not have one. they said i needed to to make one before pharaoh knew. it was then i realized we were talking coptic (egyptian language). when i was done my cartouche looked really good. me and my best friend were standing in line to see the king and i spotted the spynx. it looked fabulous. not far from it was the pyramids. when it was our turn to see the king i saw it was king tut who was only a day younger then me. we had a comind 9th birthday party. After that I thought I had to go home so I said good-by. I went back into the pyramid and came back out and was in my own time. Then I was exited because I STILL knew coptic with out even having to learn it and I could write a story about it.

Our water fight

Yesterday we had a water fight. We have a whole bunch of water guns and we each got one. Later on we played a different game with the guns, the game was called capture the flag. There is two teams (I was on the boys team) each team gets a flag (in this case towel hung on a tree) and there is one guard to protect the flag. And if your a runner you have to try to get the other flag safly to your flag with out getting squirted by the other guard or somone from the oposite team grabbing it from you on the way over.

I read about Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd president of our country. He wrote most of the Declartion of Independence. Also Thomas Jefferson was very curious about the world, he designed his own house. When he maried he loved his wife so much he promised not to remary when she died. He inspires me because he invented a lot of cool things, when I am older someday I wanna be as cool as him.

Rory in Riyadh

This is my picture of Egypt with Orion's constillation,
the Egyptians new it as Osirus the god of the Underworld.

We moved all the way accross the world this month! I'm now living in a compound called Seimens (seemens),villa 67 . A cople nights ago we went up on the roof to look at the stars, it was kind of hard to see all of them because of light polushion but still i found Orion and the seven sisters every one said i must have good eye's because i counted all seven of them.
